A slew of large spray-painted swastikas, among other symbols, have been removed from a Laval building near the de la Concorde AMT train station.
Corey Fleisher, who owns a power washing company, has been removing such graffitti at no cost in the Montreal area.
He said he wants municipal officials and police to do more about racist graffiti.
Fleisher told CTV he doesn't think hate speech and white supremacy are on the rise in the Montreal area.
"The city and the people, society, are waking up. It's not necessarily that there are more hate crimes being scrawled, it's just that society's waking up, they're starting to actually notice and witness these things and, therefore, they're starting to report what they're seeing", said Fleisher.
He added a passenger on an AMT train spotted the graffiti and contacted him.
Anti-Muslim signs and pro-white nationalist messages were also removed.
On April 1, Fleisher said the same person had done the same thing to 15 buildings in one area.
