Anti-gang investigators from the Montreal police organized crime unit seized an arsenal of unregistered weapons at the home of a man police claim is at the heart of a drug ring in Montreal North.
Quantities of narcotics, cash, unregistered hand guns and assault weapons, as well as ammunition, were found during a raid at the home of Nicolae Catalin Vinersar on January 12, according to a police statement from this Thursday.

The 50-year-old Laval man was known to police. His home was raided after a warrant was obtained relating to the investigation of a drug ring in Montreal North, according to the police statement.
Vinersar faces 14 charges including possessing prohibited weapons and restricted weapons, possession of illegal narcotics and possession with intention to traffic narcotics.
