The price of gas is going up again in Montreal, and once again, Hurricane Harvey is getting the blame.
On Tuesday, some service stations in Montreal began hiking the price of a litre of regular gas to 141.9 — the third significant gas price hike in the past week.
By Wednesday morning, the price hike should be in effect everywhere on the island of Montreal.
Usually, the price starts dropping after a hike like this, but with offshore refineries in the Gulf of Mexico still closed in the wake of Hurricane Harvey, it doesn't look like that'll happen right away.
Analysts suggest it could be a few weeks yet before we start seeing some relief at the pumps.
