The province's ethics commissioner has opened an investigation into possible ethical violations by health minister Gaetan Barrette.
The inquiry is being launched following a request from the PQ health critic Diane Lamarre, who claims Barrette put off a pediatric project at the Pierre-Boucher Hospital in Longueuil, until after the election this fall, because it's in a riding held by a PQ MNA.
Barrette denies any wrongdoing, suggesting the project was not a priority.
The notion that the move was political was fueled by a report on Radio-Canada's investigative program 'Enquête'.
