A woman who was left with severe injuries after being attacked by three dogs while jogging near her home in the Eastern Townships community of Mansonville has posted a message on the Potton Township webpage thanking all the people that have helped her during her recovery, including first responders and the doctors, nurses and staff who are caring for her at the Fleurimont Hospital.
Dominique Alain was in critical condition when she was admitted March 29 and was placed in an induced coma for several days.
She remains in the hospitals intensive care unit, and has undergone six surgeries to repair damage to her arms and legs.
Local community leaders have started a GoFundMe campaign to help defray the cost of her future needs.
The goal is $50,000.
More than $20,000 has been raised so far.
