Monday morning was a chilly one, with temperatures hovering around the freezing mark.
But by the end of the week, could we actually get to see 30-degree temperatures?
The Weather Network suggests by the end of this week, some warm air will be pushing up from the eastern United States, bringing with it temperatures that could approach 30 degrees in southern Quebec — something which usually isn't seen in the Montreal area until late May or early June.
The earliest we've actually seen 30-degree weather in Montreal was during a heat wave on April 27, 1990.
For the moment, the long-range weather forecast for this coming weekend in calling for — wait for it — more rain and a high of 23 on Thursday and 21 on Saturday, and a brief respite from the wet weather on Friday evening.
But there is a strong suggestion that that could change.
