Quebecers may want to stock up on salt and sand in advance of a low pressure system that is expected to generate freezing rain over much of the province and then a period of what is described as "significant rainfall".
Environment Canada updated a Special Weather Statement issued Wednesday to a Freezing Rain Warning early Thursday.
Meteorologists expect between 10 and 20 millimetres of freezing precipitation beginning Thursday night in areas that include Montreal, Laval, Longueuil and Châteauguay.
