Flu season is still at least a few weeks away, but on Monday the province starts its annual flu shot campaign.
The vaccine will be free for children under two-years-old, pregnant women in their second or third trimesters, people with a chronic disease, as well as for health workers and people over the age of 60.
The location of the closest CLSC offering this year's influenza vaccine is available on the health ministry's website.
According to Quebec's top public health official, it's important particularly for those at higher risk of getting the flu, to get vaccinated before the throes of flu season.
"The flu is not yet in season, but we prefer to vaccinate around Christmas [before the annual outbreak of influenza peaks], said Dr. Horacio Arruda, Quebec's director of public health.
Every year, more than two million shots are administered as part of the program.
