What appears to be an internal power struggle within the Montreal blue collar workers union has spawned a police investigation.
Two union directors had filed a lawsuit against the union and its president, Chantal Racette, seeking $35,000 each in compensation. They accuse Racette of sending a blue col to their homes last month to plant GPS tracking devices on their personal vehicles in order to monitor their movements.
Now the Journal de Montreal is reporting that the pair also took their complaint to police, who are looking into whether the blue col should be charged with trespassing, vandalism and invasion of privacy.
