If you've been waiting for Montreal to look more like a winter wonderland, good news, your wish will some come true.
Environment Canada forecasts show 10 to 15 centimetres of snow will fall on the Montreal and surrounding areas on Tuesday.
On Sunday everyone was treated to a small preview of the first blast of winter with a couple of centimeters falling over the course of the morning.
It won't be just the snow that will make it look and feel like winter; the cold will back it all up with a seasonal one-two punch.
The warmest daytime high this week is expected to be on Tuesday (the same day as the big snowfall), where the mercury will drop to about -5°C. By comparison, last Tuesday it was 10°C in Montreal.
Daytime highs will be closer to -10°C throughout the week, with overnight lows between -7°C and -16°C (great weather to start those outdoor rinks).
If you haven't done so already, the deadline to have your winter tires installed is Friday.
For those who prefer to get around the city on two wheels, no matter the weather, there was a winter cycling workshop over the weekend to help cyclists prepare for the colder months.
