The father of a 2-year old boy bitten by a pit bull in September faces a charge of criminal negligence.
That's according to La Presse.
The charge in light of what happened is said to be a Quebec first.
24-year old Michel Longval, who has a lengthy criminal past, left the baby alone with the dog at the his parents' home in Rosemont.
Longval's older brother was there at the time, but the paper says the brother, mentally deficienct, failed to keep the dog from attacking the boy.
The child sustained a deep cut above one eye.
