A former Lester B. Pearson school board employee is challenging her dismissal after criticizing the board's embattled chair.
Carol Mastantuono spoke with CTV saying she wrote a letter to the board a year ago complaining about chair Suanne Stein Day's behaviour.
Mastantuono, former director of the board's international program, said she outlined "bullying, concerns of harassment, concerns of manners and ways she was conducting herself."
The board's ethics commissioner investigated Mastantuono's complaint, sayng it was "well founded in fact, and in law", even saying Stein-Day violated the the ethics code multiple times.
"I've worked for the Lester B. Pearson school board for 27 years, I've put my blood, sweat and tears into the school board and into public education, I want my name cleared, I want my job back", said Mastantuono.
There was no comment on Mastantuono's case from Stein-Day.
The board is holding a public meeting Monday night.
