Some evidence gathered against the main suspect following the 2007 disappearance of 9-year old Cedrika Provencher has been released.
It's been made public by a tribunal in Trois Rivieres.
Jonathan Bettez, who was a suspect for years, was arrested on charge of child pornography.
CTV's Stephane Giroux reported Bettez had been followed by the SQ for months prior to being picked up using a GPS tracker shortly after the girl's remains were found a year ago.
"They obtained a warrant to search his house and office during his absence and made copies of the content of his computers. And what they found were traces of child pornography, mainly images of young girls being sexually assaulted. What's more, investigators also found evidence suggesting Bettez used software designed to erase the content of this compromising material", said Giroux.
Bettez's IP address was used to trace the material.
Bettez, who remains free on bail. was charged with 6 counts of possession and distribution of child porn.
