Get your dancing shoes ready, it's almost time to do the freezing rain shuffle.
Environment Canada issued a Special weather statement for the Montreal, Châteauguay - La Prairie, Laval, and Longueuil - Varennes areas saying about two to five millimetres freezing precipitation is possible for the Southern Quebec region Friday afternoon.
Temperatures will drop to -8°C overnight Thursday into Friday and hit a high of 0°C during the day.
The weather agency said the Pontiac, the Outaouais, the Lower Laurentians and the northern crown of Montreal areas should be the most affected.
As always freezing rain can make roads, sidewalks and your driveway icy and very slippery if not properly salted.
