In her first public appearance since the fall, the chairperson of the English Montreal School Board said she will let the Quebec government inquiry into the board proceed before commenting further.
"We're at the beginning of the investigation, we need to shed light on this investigation, they're administrative issues," said Angela Mancini.
"I will participate fully and that's all I can say at this time."
Mancini spoke with CJAD 800 during a public event for the board.
She has been absent from public duties since last fall "for personal reasons."
Quebec's education minister announced last Wednesday they would conduct an inquiry into alleged mismanagement and ethics violations at the board.
A week later, the Treasury Board announced it would conduct an inquiry into how the board awards contracts.
In a separate matter, Mancini told CJAD 800 she would abide by an ethics commission ruling ordering her to apologize to top board administrators after she was found guilty of violating the ethics code. The commission said Mancini was acting in good faith.
