Police have busted a major drug trafficking ring operated by organized crime.
Raids were carried out in a number of areas, including Montreal, Laval, Quebec City and the Mauricie.
In Montreal, officers descended on a building near the intersection of Cartier and Ontario Street, not far from the Jacques Cartier Bridge.
Police say the group was trafficking a number of illegal drugs including cocaine, methamphetamine, hashish and marijuana in Montreal and Shawinigan and supplying other organizations throughout Quebec, Ontario and New Brunswick.
A number of arrests have been made.
More details on the operation are expected to be released Thursday morning.
