Love it or hate it, Valentine's Day is here. Let it serve as a reminder that a relationship needs daily efforts to keep it healthy and fresh. If V-day is the only day you do something special for your partner, it better be huge--since you will have 364 days to make up for. But seriously, even really good relationships call for a bit of romantic fine-tuning once in a while. A relationship is always a work in progress because it is a living, breathing, entity. It needs constant nourishment for it to continue to thrive. So if you want your relationship to be a good one, you’ve got to work on things every single day--not just once a year. Focus on capturing a few moments every day with your partner to show them how you feel about them. Show appreciation, love and desire for your partner. One important tip is to reserve a date night once a week where you just focus on each other. That means putting away your electronic devices, do something fun together, and let it serve as a reminder of your couplehood. On a daily basis, send your partner little love texts or notes; verbalize one thing that you appreciate about your partner; show affection and say "I Love You". Waiting for a special occasion like Valentine’s Day to do something special or to show your love to your partner is simply not enough. So this Valentine's Day, vow to make efforts every day of the year.
