Despite what you might have heard about the site of the old Montreal Children's hospital, nothing's been decided yet.
Radio-Canada yesterday said the developer will be putting up 6 residential towers of up to 20 storeys each.
City councillor Steve Shanahan told CTV Montreal, they're still waiting to hear from developer Luc Poirier.
"The borough expects that very soon, the private developer will be bringing a proposal to the borough," said Shanahan. "That will be met with both adminstrative and political qualitative assessment."
He says once the city is satisfied with the proposal, Montrealers will get the chance to look at it and make sure it responds to the needs of the community.
Shanahan says all parties at city hall agree that without social and affordable housing on site the project won't go ahead.
