An STM bus driver who protested Bill 62 by wearing a surgical mask this week could be disciplined.
STM spokeswoman Amelie Regis tells CTV the driver will meet with a superior for "inappropriate behaviour". Regis also says the STM asks its employees to be apolitical during working hours.
The driver took part in a protest Friday where several Montrealers boarded a bus with their faces covered, denouncing the Quebec government's controversial Bill 62 legislation on religious neutrality, which would prohibit anyone from giving or receiving a public service from having their face covered, and includes using public transit.
Hundreds of Canadians have taken to social media wearing scarves pulled up over their faces, protesting Bill 62 by pointing out faces would also be covered by items such as winter clothing.
