Gertrude Bourdon who was defeated as a Liberal Party candidate in the provincial election earlier this month wants to succeed herself, in her former job.
Bourdon resigned her position as head of the Quebec City University Health Centre earlier this year to get into politics.
She considered an offer to run for the CAQ, but eventually chose to represent the Liberals in the Jean Lesage riding.
Now out of work, Bourdon has submitted an application to get her old job back and, according to the Journal de Montreal she has a pretty good chance of being selected.
The deadline for applications was October 9 but it has been extended because of a lack of qualified candidates.
The applicants will be screened by the board of directors which will then make a recommendation to the Health Minister,
who will then submit the candidate for approval to members of the CAQ cabinet.
The job pays $305,000 annually.
