Montreal police said they didn't fear for the life of a cyclist in his 60's after a late day crash on Thursday.
The cyclist and a vehicle crashed at the corner of Notre Dame and Hector in the Mercier-Hochelaga Maisonneuve borough.
Authorities added one of them seemingly ran a red light, but hadn't figured out much else.
They said the cyclist, who suffered head and leg injuries, was headed southbound on Hector when the accident occured.
The car was heading westbound on Notre Dame.
The driver, said to be around 40-years old, was treated for shock.
Alcohol and speed were not involved, said police.
