The Crown prosecutor's office says it won't appeal the acquittal of former construction boss Tony Accurso last month on a breach of trust charge.
Accurso has been accused of offering trips and cash to the former mayor of Mascouche in exchange for city contracts for his company.
He originally faced six charges in the case, but was only tried on the single breach of trust charge.
Accurso is due to go return to court on May 7 to face trial for more corruption-related charges, stemming from his alleged dealings with the city of Laval.
