Quebec's Crown prosecutors' office is expected to announce on Friday whetheer any charges will be laid against a group of Sûreté du Québec officers allegedly involved in the sexual abuse of indigenous women in Val d'Or.
The office is now reviewing no less than 37 separate cases.
The Montreal police force has spent the last year investigating the claims, ever since a Radio-Canada current affairs show broke the story in October of 2015.
It told of a systematic pattern of abuse involving police officers stationed in the northern Quebec town.
Since the story aired, many other women came forward to tell their stories.
