Tuesday's freezing rain is being blamed for at least fatal crash on Quebec roads.
According to police a van traveling on Highway 15 at kilometer 31 in Mirabel lost control due to the difficult road conditions and crashed into the base of the superstructure spanning the highway display signage.
The impact was on the passenger side of the vehicle, killing the man in that seat.
The driver was taken to hospital in Saint-Jérôme to be treated for minor injuries.
Provincial police closed the highway following the crash for nearly 12 hours, opening it again shortly before 4:30 A.M. Wednesday.
