Molson Brewery officials are hoping for the best but are planning for the worst when 550 unionized employees meet on Sunday to vote on another contract offer.
The first two contract offers were rejected by margins of 57% and 52%, but the company says the offer that will be presented this weekend is non-negotiable.
The Journal de Montreal says it has obtained a copy of an internal company memo which says rejection of the contract would trigger a strike next Monday.
If that happened Molson would have office staff take over beer production and distribution.
A union spokesman says the outstanding issues have included wages, insurance coverage and pensions.
