The president of Concordia University is moving on.
A statement says Alan Shepard will become president of Western University in London, Ontario, that he'll leave June 30th.
He joined Concordia in 2012 after serving as provost of Ryerson University in Toronto.
The statement goes on to say Graham Carr, Concordia’s provost and vice-president of Academic Affairs, has agreed to serve as interim president beginning July 1st.
The statement also says "Concordia’s Board of Governors will begin the search for a new president immediately. In accordance with its Policy on Senior Administrative Appointments, the Board has established an advisory search committee, which will be chaired by Board Chair Norman Hébert Jr."
