Concordia University has relented and will allow the student association choose the undergraduate students for its task force on sexual misconduct and sexual violence.
The Concordia Student Union had come out denouncing the selection process which excluded them from choosing student candidates for the task force, calling it non-transparent and indifferent.
The university had defended the process, saying it was fair and that students have greater representation on this task force than they do on other university bodies.
A day later, the university issued a statement saying the CSU could select undergrads who must be in good academic standing.
The university said it wanted the members of the task force to be chosen as soon as possible so it can get to work.
