Concordia University is confirming that the man arraigned in connection with a bomb threat against the school is a Concordia student.
La Presse reports that 47-year old Hisham Saadi had recently been booted out of a PhD program at Concordia for academic reasons.
He had continued to take a few classes, however, and had a midterm exam scheduled for Wednesday afternoon, when a bomb threat forced the evacuation of three buildings at the university's downtown campus.
He will appear at a bail hearing today after being ordered yesterday to undergo a psycho-social evaluation.
He is charged with three offenses, including inciting terrorism fears.
