Mont Orford near Magog in the Eastern Townships says it will be be open to skiers and boarders Friday after closing Thursday because of the intense cold.
The owners of the mountain say they closed it because they feared for the safety of their clients after windchill values reached close to -40.
The owners of Ski Bromont closed the hill at 3:30 p.m. Thursday.
Night skiing and boarding operations were cancelled because of the cold.
On its website Friday hill management says because the long range forecast indicates that there will be no break from the cold for the next few days only four of seven hills will be open and night skiing will be limited until January 2nd.
