The mayor of the Villeray–Saint-Michel–Parc-Extension borough is a step closer to be being allowed back into her office after being banned over allegations of workplace harassment.
The city’s comptroller released a report late Friday announcing that Giuliana Fumagalli had accepted to be “accompanied” while exercising her duties.
The statement does not specify who would accompany the mayor.
In May, Fumagalli was ordered to stay home after a complaint was filed against her by a municipal employee.
In August she was kicked out of the Project Montreal caucus and Mayor Valerie Plante ordered an investigation after more employees came forward with complaints about Fumagalli.
