In preparation for rainfall, warmer temperatures and melting snow that is expected to begin Monday evening through Wednesday, the City of Dorval is taking precautions to be prepared for possible flooding.
City officials are inspecting a number of areas of the city and monitoring storm sewers in critical areas to ensure optimal water drainage.
The City announced it will make gravel bags available, free of charge, to people located in critical areas. To request sand bags, Dorval residents can contact the City after of eight o'clock on Monday morning.
Officials say each case will be analysed in order to assess the level of importance and possible need. If your home becomes flooded even with these precautions, Dorval officials recommend you first call emergency services at 9-1-1.
