The city of Montreal has been hit with 32 civil suits related to the flooding last spring.
Almost all of the lawsuits were filed by residents of Fifth Avenue North in Roxboro.
Radio Canada says all the lawsuits claim the city was negligent in it's response and the flood damage they sustained could have been mitigated if city officials had acted earlier to set up a shoreline dike.
The suits also name The Metropolitan Transport Network (RTM) which owns a nearby parcel of land.
One homeowner has also named the Quebec government in their suit.
