A city councilor wants to become the next leader of Projet Montreal.
Guillaume Lavoie, the councillor for the Marie-Victorin district, made the announcement Monday.
Lavoie says his focus would be s on making the city’s fiscal policies more friendly to small businesses and those on fixed incomes as well as sustainability.
Lavoie would replace current interim leader Luc Ferrandez, who took over following Richard Bergeron’s departure in October, 2014.
Ferrandez won't be running for leader of Montreal's official opposition.
