The former president of the Montreal blue collar workers union is in the clear after the Crown decided to drop charges of assault and intimidation against her and six union members.
Chantal Racette had been accused of roughing-up a senior union official at a convention in Quebec City in May.
La Presse reports that Racette and the others were told last Wednesday of the Crown's decision.
The blue collar worker's union remains under trusteeship amid allegations of the improper use of union funds and that GPS transmitters had been secretly installed on the vehicles of several union directors.
