Céline Dion has been forced to cancel another series of shows until the end of May, because of a persistent health problem that requires her to undergo minor surgery.
Dion’s shows scheduled from March 27 to April 18, at the Caesars Palace Colosseum Theater in Las Vegas have been cancelled.
According to the statement posted on the artist’s Facebook page, Dion has been suffering from a middle ear disorder or of the Eustachian tube for more than a year.
This disorder causes hearing problems and makes “singing extremely difficult”.
Dion tried to relieve the pain with ear drops, but the positive effects have faded. Dion will have to undergo minor surgery.
Performance of the shows should resume starting May 22.
“The luck has not been on my side lately” I could not wait to get back on stage and here I am again sick. I apologize to all those who planned a trip to Las Vegas to see my show. I know how disappointing it is. I am extremely sorry,” said Dion on social media.
People who have already purchased tickets for cancelled performances will automatically be refunded if they have paid by credit card. Those who paid in cash must go to the place where they bought their ticket to be reimbursed.
