How low would you go to exact your revenge on an ex or a co-worker you just don't like?
La Presse is reporting a handful of cases in recent years of vengeful Quebecers filing false accusations of terror plotting.
In one case, someone misled American authorities, telling them a Montrealer was headed for the border with a car full of explosives and the intention of mounting a terror attack in New York City.
Police rushed to arrest the Montrealer implicated and soon discovered he was innocent. One of his coworkers was arrested and charged with mounting a terror hoax.
The Radicalization Centre in Montreal says it has dealt with about a dozen false accusations, usually involving former spouses or disgruntled work colleagues.
