More than 100 Montreal firefighters spent much of Monday afternoon fighting a fire at an apartment building in the north-end Cartierville district.
The blaze broke out just before 1 p.m. Monday on the second floor of the three-story apartment complex at 5450 Dudemaine St. The fire spread quickly to the top floow and to the roof.
No one was hurt, but more than 100 people were forced to evacuate the building in the bitter cold.
There's no word on what caused the blaze.
