The Montreal Canadiens say their star goalie Carey Price will be out of the lineup for Saturday's game against the Jets.
Price was not at practice with the rest of his teammates Friday to undergo treatment for what the team is calling a minor lower-body injury.
Price has not been his Vezina Trophy-winning self so far this season — a 3-7-1 record with a 3.77 goals-against average and a weak .877 save percentage. On Thursday night, he uncharacteristically gave up five goals on 26 shots in a 6-3 loss at Minnesota.
Backup Al Montoya will get the start on Saturday. The team has yet to name who Montoya's backup will be, but he will be called up from Laval.
The team will play two games in two nights, on the road, this weekend — in Winnipeg on Saturday, and in Chicago on Sunday.
