Where you do your business is usually not news, but two Montreal restrooms are among this year's finalists for Canada's number one places to go "number two".
Canada's Best Restroom contest has announced its finalists for 2017, which include the communal Turkish-bath concept at the New City Gas, a nightclub in Griffintown, and the one-off designs inside Montreal's Renaissance Hotel.
Voting takes places online this summer, and the winner will be selected in the fall.
This year's contest is packed with Montreal nominees, accounting for 2 of the 5 finalists. Historically, though, it hasn't done so well—in fact you might say the contest has poo-pooed Montreal's many porcelain offerings.
Over seven iterations, only two restrooms have made the cut of finalists: the W Hotel in 2016 and the Hôtel Le Germain in 2011.
