The owner of the Blanche Neige restaurant in Côte-des-Neiges has been ordered to pay a former waitress $52,000 after a judge found that he systematically bullied a former waitress because she had refused his advances.
Anissa Berrad says initially Nick Triandos was friendly, but he turned against her after he tried to grope her in his car and was rebuffed.
In her suit Berrard says after that Triandos always referred to her in public in derogatory and demeaning terms, often shouted at her and eventually told her not to talk with customers.
Berrard even had to resort to calling police one night when Triandos became very aggressive during an argument about her schedule.
Police did show up, but no charges were laid.
The Journal de Montreal reports the judge ruled there was clear evidence of psychological harassment and Berrad was awarded $52,078 in damages.
