Anger over hefty pay packages at Bombardier has spilled over to the point that the company has now been forced to hire a private security firm to protect a number of its top executives.
The Journal de Montreal reports that a number of people including CEO Alain Bellemare, Board Chairman Pierre Beaudoin and several members of their families are under 24 hour a day protection after the company received a number of threats in recent weeks.
In some cases the newspaper says both their primary and secondary residences are under surveillance at a cost of up to $10,000 per day for each person.
The newspaper say in some cases death threats have been made and police have been informed and an investigation is underway.
