A boil water advisory which had been in place since Wednesday for the south shore town of St. Bruno was lifted early Sunday.
Initially, the advisory had affected more than a quarter million people in Longueuil and surrounding towns, after tests revealed traces of E. Coli bacteria.
On Friday, the advisory was lifted everywhere, except for St. Bruno, after another test for E. Coli came back positive.
Typically, 48 hours of negative tests are needed before a boil water advisory is lifted. Officials in St. Bruno gave the all-clear on Sunday morning.
