Montreal police say a body recovered from the waters of the Riviere des Prairies near Pierrefonds this afternoon is that of a 20-year-old man who went missing over the weekend.
Anoshan Nageswara apparently lost his footing while on the river's edge at a park on Sunday, while he was posing for a picture.
He fell into the river, and was swept away by the current. His father says he was unable to swim.
Police divers had been combing the waters since then.
At around 3 p.m. Wednesday, police say they got a 9-1-1 call from a passerby who saw the body floating in the river near Lalande St.
