Two city of Montreal blue collar workers have been charged with accepting bribes from contractors in exchange forĀ giving priority to hooking up water services to new building projects.
The Journal de Montreal says the men are accused of accepting cash payments of about $100 on each occasion.
One man has been fired, the other has since retired.
One of the men will appear in court this month.
The newspaper says city officials have refused to say whether the investigation is on-going.
