The city of Montreal began another snow removal operation Thursday evening after just ending one.
It said it's deploying 2,200 vehicles during its 5th such operation this winter.
No one would argue that its' been a very tough winter, which has included snow and rain and numerous freeze-thaw cycles.
That has led to a slew of complaints from Montrealers on the quality of snow removal.
But, mayor Valerie Plante said just be patient.
"We're dealing with a difficult situation and everybody's doing their best and working really hard and, like I said, it's not like this year we cut on the budget for snow, we're not trying to make any economy... everything's been put in place" said the mayor.
The mayor added the city can't be everywhere every time.
"Montreal represents 10,000 kilometers of sidewalks and streets. That's the reality. And this year's winter has been extremely difficult and terms of variation of rain and snow" added Plante.
