A bail hearing is scheduled to take place today for a 17 year old murder suspect.
Because the suspect is a minor he cannot be named, but he has been charged with second-degree murder in the death last Thursday of 17 year old Darius Brown.
The Crown prosecutor has indicated that she will seek an adult sentence if the accused is convicted.
Brown died shortly after being found near the intersection of Westover and Westminister in Côte-St-Luc.
Police initially thought Brown was involved in an armed robbery, but witnesses came forward and investigators using that information and surveillance camera video, quickly determined that Brown had been the victim in the case.
