Police have arrested a 25-year-old man in connection with a hit-and-run incident in St. Constant in May that killed a two-year-old boy.
Police with the Rousillon regional force say the man was arrested at his home in St. Constant at around 7:15 on Wednesday morning.
He's expected to appear in court in Longueuil Thursday to answer to a fatal hit-and-run charge — which potentially carries a life sentence.
The crash on May 27 killed young Dominique Wenga, who was playing outside the family's home on Rabelais St. in the south shore community.
Police say the driver — who has not yet been identified — failed to stop after the impact.
