About 100 police officers are mounting raids to the north and south of Montreal and in the Outaouais region this morning, another volley in the war against the Hells Angels resurgence in Quebec.
Operation Objection is targeting drug trafficking that investigators say is linked to the biker gang.
On Tuesday, nearly two dozen raids were carried out, and yesterday, police descended on an ice fishing business in the Laurentians operated by a Hells Angels prospect. The Journal de Montreal says the man was preparing for a trip to the Dominican Republic, where he was to be inducted next month as a member of the gang.
This morning's raids are on eight residences and one business in Mascouche, Longueuil and Saint-André-Avellin in the Outaouais region.
