With the Labour Day long weekend now officially in the rear view mirror, summer is unofficially over.
Someone though was longing for an extra day of sleeping in as a very official looking letter started making the rounds online saying all Commission scolaire de Montreal schools were closed Tuesday.
The letter, which includes the signature of Director General Reynald Deraspe, said there would be no school because of a strike.
However, there is no strike, schools are not closed and classes are not canceled.
Enough parents saw the message circulating online, raising many questions, so many the school board had to post on its Facebook page and web site that it was all a hoax, confirming that all schools are open and all classes will go ahead as scheduled.
