The city of Montreal is still looking for a park to rename after Father Emmett 'Pops' Johns, the late Catholic priest who started the organization Dans la rue to help homeless youth.
Johns passed away a year ago Sunday at the age of 89.
At the time, the city said it would rename a park after him, ideally near Dans la rue's location on Ontario E. near the Jacques Cartier Bridge in the Ville Marie borough.
In an email statement to CJAD 800, a spokesperson said the city is continuing its reflection and its discussions with Dans la rue to find the best park to rename in John's honour.
